Written By: Nichlolas Rossis - May• 20•19

Summer is here! We’ve got Pillow Talk Books. Mysteries. Sweet Romance. Paranormal. Whatever suits your fancy. $150 in Gift Cards. That’ll buy a beach towel and some suntan lotion.

It’s a crime to spend the summer without a good crime read. Or suspense, or mystery, or any story that you would like to read in one sitting. Summer is the best moment to take on a book that you should read non-stop because suspense could kill you. Especially if you are on holidays. Even if you still have to do all the things women do, plus packing and unpacking, tracking swimsuits and sandals or sweeping ice cream and watermelon stains from sun kissed little faces. Here is a great selection of books to keep you on your toes. Some are crime and mystery, all are intense. All either Free or 99c for your enjoyment.

From Carmen DeSousa, here is When Noonday Ends a tightly woven tale of love, suspense, and secrets. When new attorney Tom Turner takes on an attempted homicide case, he finds himself falling for Shelby Castle, the woman he’s representing. But Shelby faces life threatening danger, as a powerful family will cross boundaries to silence her. FREE on Amazon, also available as an Audiobook.

Betrayal is what Ebony faces in A Heart Not Easily Broken by M.J. Kane.   Ebony Campbell is a smart, sexy career-oriented black woman who wants nothing more than a summer fling. What she doesn’t expect is Brian Young, a blond-haired, blue-eyed bass player to step up to the challenge. Ebony’s dreams, however, spiral into lies and secrets that threaten her future and the trust of those she loves. FREE on Amazon, or listen to Ebony’s story on Audible.

Set in Arizona, Redemption Lake by Susan Clayton-Goldner is a page turner murder mystery. Eighteen-year-old Matt Garrison is harboring two terrible secrets: his involvement in the drowning death of his 12-year-old cousin, and a night of drunken sex with his best friend’s mother, Crystal, whom he finds dead the following morning. Guilt forces Matt to act on impulse and hide his involvement with Crystal. FREE on Amazon.

The White Carnation (The Harvester Files Book one) by Susanne Matthews is a pure romance suspense. A serial killer nicknamed the Harvester is stalking, kidnapping, & killing pregnant women after they give birth, and keeping the infants. When Rob Halliday realizes all of the dead women resemble his ex-fiancee, the race is on to catch the killer before he catches Faye. 99c on Amazon.

For the end, we have an intense coming of age story, Drawing Breath by Laurie Boris. Private lessons draw sixteen-year-old Caitlin deeper into the personal life of her art teacher, a thirty-four-year-old man with cystic fibrosis. Convinced that the new woman in his life will be Daniel’s downfall, Caitlin makes one very bad decision. Read for 99c on Amazon or listen on Audible.

Jackie Weger’s contribution is No Perfect Secret. Washington DC librarian Anna Nesmith has it all—a great marriage, a dream job and a home of her own—until an investigator begins asking questions. Then Anna’s ordered world crashes like Jenga blocks. 99c on Amazon. Nook. Kobo. Apple iBooks and Google Play. Download today and enjoy. Happy reading from Jackie Weger .
