Talking about Books, Audiobooks, and Freshly Baked Eyeglasses…

Written By: Jackie Weger - Jan• 13•20
cooked glassesHello, Fans and Friends! Welcome to the Year 2020.
If you’re like me, you have to write 2020 fifteen times lest you still date everything 2019.
I’ve been absent a while because I’ve been ill. Not to mention My Keeper roasted my glasses. Yep, I looked everywhere for the things and opened the oven to bake some cornbread and there they were.
Telling you, I came close to selling him on eBay for five cents. All is well now, though, and I want to share some great books with you.
First up, if you’ve missed it, Finding Home, which features one of my favorite characters, Phoebe Hawley, is FREE for a limited time. Plus, if you like audiobooks, reply to this email for a complimentary copy. Hurry, I only have so many to share, so first-come, first-served.

Believable characters with distinct personalities. Thought-provoking and snarky dialogue. – Top #1000 Vine Voice ReviewerWithout a cent to her name, Phoebe Hawley is determined to find somewhere in the rural South to settle down with her young siblings. Grumpy Gage Morgan has the perfect home for them — but will her charm be enough to convince him to share?

Here’s another great READ to help you get a jump-start on your 2020 reading goal. AND, again, since I know many of you are crazy busy, I talked the author into giving away some audiobooks. So, if you’re interested, just click. If you just like to read the eBook, click and download it!

As with most of his family, Derrick Ashton knows his future and what position he’s destined to fill within his unique society. Everything changes, however, when he breaks one of his family’s strictest laws and falls in love — with a human.

One of my fellow author friends I know y’all love, Donna Fasano, has a new series! Whoop!

Nothing can make Native American Mat Makwa give up being a New York City police officer… except one little girl—all alone in the world—who needs a father. Returning to his Kolheek reservation to take on the safer job of sheriff of this small, close-knit community, he never expects his heart might be in danger to school teacher Julie Dacey.

And lastly, one of my new friends, M.J. Kane, has a contemporary romance with heart and soul!

Ebony Campbell is a smart, sexy career-oriented black woman who wants nothing more than a summer fling with a man who challenges her mind and body. What she doesn’t expect is Brian Young, a blond-haired, blue-eyed bass player to step up to the challenge.

  2. joylennick says:

I can hardly believe your partner would make such a spectacle of themselves…However could they have done that?! Borrowed them to check you had cleaned the oven and dropped them, or what? The mind boggles. Ha ha.

  3. Oh, no! Was he cooking something and your glasses fell into the pan? So glad you’re feeling a bit better {{hugs}}

  4. baplum says:

Jackie, I’ve been absent due to illness also BUT … wish I had your sense of humor. Welcome back and may 2020 be healthful and filled with more good reads like these you’ve recommended.

  5. So glad you’re feeling better. Can’t imagine how your glasses ended up in the oven! I assume you have new ones and all is well.

  6. Genelda says:

Wanna know something weird? My son is named Gage and his wife’s name is Morgan. How weird is that 😀.

  7. Happy New Year! Glad to see you’re still cooking, but your glasses are not. (I still want to know what he was thinking. Is it possible he thinks you’re supposed to be resting?)

  8. Sheila says:

I have issues locating my glasses because, well, I can’t see without my glasses when I need to find my glasses. Never thought to look in the oven! Lol Glad you’re feeling better.

    • Jackie Weger says:

Hi, Sheila: I don’t know what wrong with MY Keeper! I cannot trust him to even put away groceries. He put all of the boxed frozen items in
the food cupboards instead of the freezer. It is almost impossible to socialize old bachelor men.

      Stay safe. Jackie

  9. Perhaps he wanted to bake something spectacular… (Okay, I’ll get my coat.)

Happy New Year, Jackie! Let’s hope 2020 brings you better health and lots of joy. xx

  10. For 5 cents you’d probably get buyers hehe. Lovely to hear from you, Jackie! Stay strong, and happy sales 🙂
