October Book Talk: No Tricks, Just eBook Treats!

Trick or Treat? Pumpkin time is here again and I can’t help but admire the intricate carvings some people manage to do on pumpkins. I myself have two left hands for pumpkin carving. I leave Halloween decor to my garden spiders. But I write and I know a good book.¬† So, no tricks. Just book treats for everyone. Oh, Those Lazy Day of Summer!

Whoever coined that phrase wasn’t a Woman, because we women seldom have a Lazy Day in any season, though we often find time to read a good¬† book. Today I’m introducing you to a few of my favorite Sweet Romance Authors. It’s a myth that we write sappy, cutesy love stories a la Barbara Cartland ~ innocent eighteen-year-old heroines falling in love with an older man, usually an angry Duke of this or that living Rich in some exotic locale. We’re creating stories about women with real issues who want to fall in love with a good man. A well written love story never goes out of style. Some have a little mystery. Some have a bit of paranormal. Some are full of emotional drama, others laugh-out-loud funny. All are H.E.A.
