Snipit Kindle Fire

Amazon Kindle Fire–where I want my books to live…

FOUR RESOLUTIONS FOR 2017

There have been huge changes in our indie universe over the past several years.  Especially within Amazon. We’ve seen 1000’s of reviews removed, click-bait books come and go; Kindle Unlimited arrived in 2014, KENPC ~ pay by pages read in 2015. Each time there’s been a change, I tell myself stick with the basics to market my books. I have and I’ve sold books. Not in the millions, but steady on.

Indie Mystery Writer Rivals Agatha Christie

A Gourmet Demise

A Gourmet Demise ~ Murder in South Tampa

Enthralling  is the single word  that best expresses this new mystery author’s talent. IMO  A Gourmet Demise is equal to or better than Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express. Christie’s most popular book is a classic. I love the Orient Express. It is my all time favorite mystery. Now, to my delight I have discovered a contemporary  mystery writer who has produced a book with all of the class and cachet of  Murder on the Orient Express.  L. A. Lewandowski is an indie author.  She  owns a dinner club in Tampa, Florida and she has her finger on the pulse that fabulous city. Moreover, the woman can write. Oh, my goodness.

As if Lauren’s personal life isn’t chaotic enough, this slightly jaded attorney is overrun with a cast of quirky characters who can’t stay on the right side of the law. What’s a woman to do? She can allow life to spin her in circles forever. Or she can reach out and grab the brass ring.

Amazon unleashes new subscription program: Kindle Unlimited

Jackie Weger

Jackie Weger

Unleashed July 18, 2014 on all indie authors published in KDP Select on Amazon and Amazon readers, too,  Kindle Unlimited is a new subscription service. $9.99 a month. Readers can download unlimited titles for $9.99 as opposed to Amazon Prime that allows only a single title borrow per month. Critical to authors–in order to get paid a portion of the global fund $ set aside in KOLL, a reader must read at least 10% of the book.  Subscribers to  Amazon Prime need only to ‘borrow’ the title for the author to get a royalty. No reading required. Indie authors across the internet and in blogs and forums are looking askance at Kindle Unlimited and wondering what the heck it means. Asking how they’ll get paid for the download–if ever.
